Markstrom Construction Inc became incorporated in July of 2000. However, it's Owner/Operator, Robert (Bob) Markstrom was raised by a skilled carpenter who taught him several tricks of the trade. Bob gained valuable knowledge from his father in both rough and finished carpentry. As a young adult he attended Lake Superior State University and obtained a mechanical engineering degree. He paid for his schooling by working for local construction contractors. After college he moved to Wisconsin where he worked on roads and bridges. He returned home to Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula and worked for a local construction company before going into business for himself in 1992.
